now that TAG is buffed to 750m and artemis need direct line of sight, is there any reason why you should get artemis for your LRMs? it there something I am missing or is artemis really useless now (at least for LRMs)?

Artemis was always a LOS system, it can fire indirectly, but it doesn't have the enhanced tracking capabilities.

thanks, i understand this, but i mean why would you get artemis (1ton 1 slot for each launcher) when you can get tag with 750 range and it even counters ecm?

Artemis gives more missiles accuracy, weighs the same and has a harder lock on non ecm mechs.

I was considering buying artemis for my 2 SRM 4's... assuming I only have 2 tons free (after the lanchers and standard ammo) would 2 tons be enough to fit artemis for both launchers?

I am not so sure about that accuracy and most probably you want to run at least 2 launchers, playing with tag a lot before the range buff, I had really good results even without artemis.
What Im trying to say is, artemis isnt the best choice against tag at the moment so you can save tonnage and slots.
But still way to go for SRMs.
