I am tired of being hammered and turned to scrap metal from halfway across the map by LRMs. But I'm not here to complain. I want to get even. I want to send my own flights of missiles right back in their smug faces. For this, I need assistance.
I cannot figure out how to get a lock on an enemy mech from farther out than perhaps 450m, about where they become recognizable targets, even when I have a spotter. That's one of the reasons I stopped using LRM's, was I couldn't figure out beyond visual range and indirect targeting. I mean, I see the target triangle, put my reticule over it, and get, no lock. No matter how long I wait. So, can I get some help with this?

Hit 'R' to lock.

I would suggest going to one of the TeamSpeak servers.....http://mwomercs.com/...e-chat-servers/ You will find 'training grounds' in there, and there are people who will be more than happy to help you get comfy with a mech and stuff. Worth a try.

Actually, 'R' won't always work because the enemy mechs may be equipped with ECM (one or more of them). If your team has no ECM, this means the other team (with the ECM) can pelt you at will with all manner of LRMs and there's nothing you can do about it but hide...because you can't return fire...because you can't get a lock...because they've got ECM...and you don't.

I can recommend Comstar EU TS server, you dont even need mic, though it will really help your teamplay. Just jump into one DS and ask questions if needed

I thank you all for your help. I posted a dead even K/D ratio tonight, which compared to the 7/54 it was previously, is not bad. I'm going to give all credit to you guys.
