Hey there,
every now and then, i get a ctd and only on the snow map (i forgot the name).
I cant as of now not get a connection to anything im doing at that moment, it may have to do something with me firing lrms (not sure about that tho)
Anyone has a similiar problem or a workaround?

LRMs are bad for freezing/crashing, whether you are firing them or getting incomings. The best thing to do is update your video driver, that may help a lot.
If you are just getting a freeze, and not a crash, I have a work around. As soon as it freezes (don't do anything else like mashing buttons or this can fail), hit CTL-ALT-DEL, and start Task Manager. This unfreezes the game for me, and I can alt-tab back and resume play. Note: sometimes when you switch back your weapons start alpha striking continuously, causing you to keep overheating. To prevent that, I just hit ESC twice to pause/unpause, and that fixes it.

This thread was started in October... very high chance many of those older crashes are fixed by now
