In the piccies before the patch the side torsos looked bigger, as well as the entire mech.

The first game I played after the patch I saw one out of the corner of my eye and immediately assumed it was a catapult. It needs a bit of a size increase. Maybe a bit of an "enlargement," if you know what I mean. :)

Think we have enough of a read for PGI to at least consider a bit of a scale up? even 5/10 percent would make it look much more ASSAULTey

I like how it's some what small. It feels dense like a linebacker...or a brick. A well armed brick.

Piloting one myself, I like the fact that it's a bit undersized as that makes it a bit harder to hit. But yeah, it should be a little bigger. I think the Atlas should too. Centurion definitely needs to be smaller.

but it´s okay, i like it

When I drove past a Stalker in my Raven 3L, it looked huge.

Looks can and are deceiving... if you stand a stalker next to a catapult you will see that it is actually larger, and from a side profile the difference is even clearer.

It feels dense, I like it. It is stocky, slow and loaded.

The bigger and taller you are the more of a target you become on the battlefield. Atlases and Awesomes are easy to spot and their proportions make them relatively easy to snipe at from a distance.

You could take the stalker and beef up it's dimensions but I think keeping it's overall height (or lower) works to it's advantage. If I'm in a stalker and the enemy's quick glance mistakes me for a Catapult, if that causes them instead to engage a larger foe then even better.

As much as I like the ideas of mechs, the actual warfare role has always left me somewhat puzzled. In today's modern armies Main Battle Tanks have evolved into low silhouetted chassis. This not only lowers their chance of being spotted but also minimizes the available "hit" area in the enemies targeting picture. In Mechwarrior the concept of a mech allows your weapons to be less impacted by terrain but at the same time you are exposed above it as well.

No it would look dumb, and would probably walk funny.

Stalker indeed is somewhat small.

I tend to avoid sneaking up to Stalkers because I'd have to stand still and zoom in in order to land a clean shot at the back CT. Instead, I rather hunt Atlasses or Cats.

That being said, I'm always surprised at how much damage this "tiny mech" can soak up until I remind myself that this is actually an assault, not a medium.

in game it seems to small next to a catapult. because of the larger arms the catapult seems to have more volume overall. but i have never really seen them in a line up together.

It would be cool if they released some detailed spec drawings of all the mechs. like star citizen and some others have done.

I vote for making it bigger, simply because it already has an advantage in terms of firepower and armor.

I'd like it if the arm coverage were a bit more. As it is, people almost always are doing torso shots, so there's essentially no benefit to having arms.
