In assault mode now that capping is pointless STOP ******* DOING IT.

Im sick of trying to kill the enemy and earn cash only to get 60k for a "win" because some pug ***** decided to cap.

Its almost to the point where if i see a freindly mech cap im going to go to the cap and kill him so i can go back to killing the enemy and make a real paycheck.

And this is why the red square game mode has only proven to be detrimental to this game's health.

Capping is so ingrained in the pubbies now it's going to take weeks for them to adjust.

i must admit it would've been wise to get rid of the caps altogether in assault mode. cappings much better in coquest.

I know, and im serious about killing them.

Ill take a -10k and then a 120-130k for a real win over a 60k win any day of the week.

I still make passes through the cap when I am in a fast mech, just to pull a few enemies off the front line, so my friendly forces can steamroll the opposition. I find it quite handy. :)

Certain premades are now doing it as a form of protest/griefing. Its already been brought up in other threads. Sad part is this was predicted. People are now doing the wrong thing by winning early.

I like winning. If capping makes it more likely to increase my win percentage chance, why wouldn't I?

You only have your selves to blame! Due to all the pug stomping, a pug will take any chance to win.

And with any luck, they'll report you and your account will be banned.

yep quick easy wins add up better than a 15min tango. of course who wants to tango and then have a loss on their record. if that happens they can't brag in forums about their win/loss ratio and who da gaming boss is.

oh if you get screen shooted with lasers belting into a team mate, money won't come into it.

Real easy to ban jerkoffs who make a habit of team kills I should think.

The cap has an important psychological effect.

You can either ignore it, and know you are getting capped at the killpay you've earned up to that moment, or go where the enemies are. I still use cap to break lines and throw people into confusion. No, it is nowhere near as cost effective as a salvage win, but hey...it was always far better pay to shoot the enemy team dead than cap.

The cap is even MORE important now, not for pay but for distraction. Yes, you can get a plenty decent check without winning; but if you effectively squash the cap attempt you can generate more salvage in a shorter time and smaller area.

Faster wins = faster money.

Sure, if someone is part of the 2% of a game that can get 4 kills per map consistently then an early win will prevent you from making more money. But for the rest of us, a win is a win.

They haven't yet banned a single founder account permanently from the game [posting on the forums though? Possibly], I doubt they have the fortitude to do so.
