If i aim my tag towards a friendly mech the Under-TAG-effect-icon (Tiny Crosshairs) appears over its frame. Does it work as an enemy TAG over them? if not why does it appear?

The new range increase of TAG is nice. However, unless I've never noticed this before, you can now "tag" your allies. Is this intended?

Pretty sure you could do that before too. But since you can't actually target your allies, it doesn't mean much.

I have not checked, however, if TAGging an ally under enemy ECM puts that ally back on the sensors of friendlies who otherwise can't see him. If so, that could be useful as a battlefield information and awareness tool.

The question is: Would this light your ally up for the enemy?

I doubt it, since that would require provisions for sharing targeting information across teams, which as far as I know do not exist.

This would definitely be useful information. Will have to check that one out.
