After some playing around with the new jump jets I have some personal complaints/suggestions about the trajectories. I've been using the maximum 5 jump jets (just as I did back when they didn't make a difference) and I've noticed that the performance with 5 jump jets now is far worse in most aspects to the performance before.
The main issue is the jump height. The main use of jump jets is to jump over enemy mechs, but with the new trajectory it is now impossible to jump over an enemy mech if both mechs started from the same height without expending all of your jump jet fuel. This is an extreme nerf to jump jets. Personally I believe that extra jump jets should modify jump height as well as jump distance since jump distance is not the primary reason anyone uses jump jets in MWO. At the very least, jump jets should allow a light mech to be able to jump over another mech after using 25% to 50% of its fuel.
That's just my input, I know they said that it will be tuned/
