I have to wonder what did they do to LRMs? Just out of curiousity, no whining here, but they seem to have been buffed quite considerably.
I died after 4 salvos of LRMs (I think it was an Atlas so probably LRM15 or LRM20) and they got straight for CT and cored me. Even back when LRMs did 2.0 damage per missile I was never annihilated that quick and that effectively.
Artemis? Does artemis lead them straight to CT now?

Lrms...buffed?

As far as I know they only increased the range of the TAG. It is now 750m.
And Artemis works only with a line of sight.
That is why I use LRMs + TAG on my Centurions. ( no artemis IV )
3 LRM 10 in one torso or 2 LRM 15. When I fire all at the same time you see only 10 LRMs or 10+5 in flight ( only 10 start-tubes ), but that are 30.
And I have killed many Atlases and Stalker since the patchday.
So when you see 15 or 20... that does not mean there are only 15 or 20. It could be 15,30,45,60 or 20,40 fired through the same tubes.
Hope that helps you to understand what had maybe hit you.
From my point of view, ECM and max 450m tag range, caused that many players ( include me ) used no longer LRMs.
Without many LRMs and with ECM many players changed their playstyle ( include me again ) and moved more often in the open field ( under ECM cover ). Now with a long range TAG LRMs Mechs can counter the ECM shield a bit.
Takes ~ 7 seconds to target a ECM shielded MECH with TAG ( TAG must be all the time at the target ).
So i requires a steady hand and the TAG must stay all the time on the target till the missiles hit ( or they will hit the ground because the target was lost ).
After the patch I changed my tactics, and I am fine. PPCs feels more like PPCs and no longer like a bad choice. LRMs are fine, can be countered by many things -> Speed, AMS, Cover, ECM.
TAG can counter now the ECM from 750m to 180m. Inside the enemy ECM bubble TAG is useless.
Now they need to fix the netcode, and get the bugs out. Had a yellow screen just 2 battles ago.
Best wishes

What the heck...two topics? Damn! But I know how this happened. When I first clicked "send" the stupid "Attacking Site" warning popped up and I assumed the topic was not created. And this is not the first time it is happening. -.-
Anyway, sorry for the double topics.
