Between the ECM locking up the SSRMs, the still exsisting lag shield, and the lack of knockdown.... the lights are especially NOW giving me a head-ache. Every once in a while Ill get lucky and blow one up instantly, but the poor netcode makes it just that "luck".

next patch, please bring back a form of knockdown. please.

Agreed, though some part of me is worried that as soon as netcode is fixed and collisions are in light mechs will survive for ~30sec or so on the battlefield.

Eh they weren't terrible before. You just had to be careful. And you couldn't engage as heavily as people do now. But then again that's not the point of a light. You're just a scout. Leave the fighting to the line mechs.

That's about as long as they should survive, looking at armor, damage, and how they tend to play.

I'm with you on that, imagine every weapon having a actual damage:theoretical damage ratio similar to streak launchers. It has to happen, but its gonna take some getting used to; I'm not sure my Cicadas will love me any more .

If you have lasers, lead the light mech and "drag" the laser to behind it, aiming at the legs until one of them blows up.

It may not solve the issue, but once a leg is gone, it is toast.

Sounds about right, they are light shouldn't be brawlers. Hell i wish i could last 30 seconds against a light with out being out DPSed.

I came in right before they took out knockdowns. In fact I think I played 20 matches with it before the patch took it out. And the knockdown was the equalizer! Can say that i had at least one Jenner or Commando a Match bounce off my Med and land in a pile in front of me! Whereupon I'd blast em good and laugh like a mad scientist!

As long as a hit penalty for fast moving mech is coded in like in TT...but you would probably call that lagshield.

I CAN'T WAIT! There will be so much forum QQ from bad pilots, it will make ECM seem like winning the lottery. I will LAUGH HYSTERICALLY the whole time. Every QQ thread I see about knockdown will find me posting this: MWUHAHAHAHAAH!

*It should be noted that I pilot every chassis of mech, including lights.

I used to pilot commandos, in beta before collisions were removed and when netcode wasn't so bad.
It's just too easy these days.

Collisions will come back and solve a lot of light problems.

Especially if the Dragonbay Packers' defensive line comes back and starts hammering the offense again.
