Hi!

I am about to try this out - maybe it helps. By default Windows allocates only 2GB of memory to 32bit apps. There is a way to raise this to 3GB:

Start "command" in Admin-mode and type:

BCDEDIT /set IncreaseUserVa 3072

and hit [enter].
Maybe this is a solution...

Regards
Martin

To reset the value to default type:

BCDEDIT /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa

It might help but I think it is the video ram that is not getting enough memory. The motherboard memory (the default 2gb for 32bit apps) is what that modifies.

The FPS bug, black screen, Crash to Desktop issues are being spawned from a memory leek in the Video card memory, not the system (motherboard) memory. You can prove this by having your desktop manager open in the back ground and watching the memory usage.

Also because it is a leek the only solution to this is fixing the leek in the code. Having more memory will just allow you to play few more games before it happens again.

Until they fix the leek your only real option is to just restart the client every 5 to 10 games.

Dont bother doing this if you have a 64 bit windows version the limit is higher by default on those.

Not mobo memory related. I have 12GB of fast RAM and i still get it every now and then. I only have 1GB of VRAM and the game uses about 99% of it right of the bat, however is can still play for several hours (2-5) before getting the 4fps bug. And thats with only a few spare Megabytes on my VRAM.
