So I was having fun on Solaris in MW4: Mercs just building goofy mech builds and seeing if I could win. So I figured I'd start a thread of your favorite goofy mech builds.

My personal favorite so far has been the Tenchi, with 9 HMG's (double ammo), no heatsinks and 4 small pulse lasers. I had to run up and shoot at point blank range, and oddly enough, I killed 7 mechs and won the match by doing just that. It had enough firepower to drop any heavy I went against. I specifically was just shooting through a vulture and blew it's arm off in about two seconds flat. I should mention that it's all alpha striking, also.

Alright guys, top it.

The most ridiculous build I have isn't from any MW title, it was from TT.

Charger

400 XL w/ MASC (86.4 KPH, 108 kph with MASC)
Endo-Steel Internal
15.5 tons Standard Armor (Efficient Maximum)
1x ERPPC (RA)
1X AC/20 w/ 2 tons of ammunition (LA/LT)
10 DHS

ERPPC while closing in, MASC Charge, AC/20 if they survive (Most things don't).

I like the 6 Rotary Autocannon 2 Daishi from MW4. you could take out a fully armored atlas CT in about 4 seconds, and bursting you could maintain fire constantly.

MASC and TSM cannot both be on the same Chassis.
TSM only kicks in if your 'Mech has a heat scale above 9. 3 Medium Laser don't even tax 10 standard HS.

Let's see. My favorites are usually remakes of classic machines, tooled to a fine tip.

First, I've got a Rifleman equipped with a Gauss Rifle and an LB-10X while making 5/8 speed with maxed armor. Most people don't even know what to do when a Rifleman is racing up to them, pounding holes in their armor, then making short work of them with LB-X rounds.

The second is a Warhammer carrying an HPPC, RAC 5, 2 Med Lasers, 2 Small Lasers, and 5 SSRM 4s, plus a Targeting Computer. The thing is a positive monster!

In Mechwarrior 3, a Diashi with something like 16 ERPPCs. I would explode every time I fired it unless I had cheats on in which case I was a single shot nightmare.

as far as MW:O goes, it's fun stuffing 4 LRM-20s on the C4 catapult with no heatsinks. Almost overheat with every shot but seeing the swirling cloud of LRMs is worth it

i dont remember exact loadout but in mw3:
daishi
standard mech
xl engine
6x clan lrm 15
2x double heatsings
as much ammo as possible

well cant say that it destroyed everything but i really wouldnt like to see such a cloud of rockets coming at me :(
well at least while piloting slower medium mech and anything larger

MASC and TSM are out of the question however there are optional rules that allow mechwarriors to turn off some or all heat sinks so getting to 9 heat with 3 medium lasers with 10 heatsinks is possible.
I am not entirely sure but if you use the later tech (and ruleset that allow thier use) there is a mech supercharger that may be cross compatable with TSM)

Now for my favorite MW4 designs...one comes to mind

Annihilator <Dr. THUD>

4 clan LB20X
8 tons ammo
4 medium lasers
no additional heatsinks
speed around 36 kph
armor around 17 tons

That is if I recall the design correctly.

This mech would one volley anything under 65 tons and utterly destroy anything else in two (three if you were really unlucky with a 100 ton target)

The CBT table top version I designed is

Annihilator IIc
clan Endo Steel chassis
clan 300XL engine
17.5 tons standard armor
12 double heatsinks
4X clan Gauss Rifles
Ammo Gauss 8 tons
4 ER Medium Lasers

I could be wrong but IIRC you cannot use them together but nothing stops from having both.

Now MASC & Supercharger for the win. An Old frienemy of mine once designed a 30 25 ton Clan Omni that IIRC reached... 30 MPs! I'd have to find the file to verify that number though. The Pod space was around 4-6 tons.

haha yes this!

Sometimes the speed with which you kill your enemies makes you think you're playing just another FPS and you forget that you are slaying 100 ton war machines

MW4M

Triple Arrow IV Kodiak.

It's not my favourite (i resented the damn abominations) gimmick, but it is certainly the most outstanding one.
