Whenever I use the forum tags [img] or [url] or even use the GUI buttons on the forum software I get the following pop-up alert: "You are not allowed to use that extension on this community.
Is it a bug or a revoked privelege?

Weird I've never had that issue, not here or on other sites when using the standard codes. A longshot, have you tried clearing the browser cache/reset router, not that it should be having any influence on using the standard codes though it might be the forum does not fetch your account status properly.

No, those haven't fixed it.
Relogging, clearing cache, rebooting router, even restarting the computer.... This is lame.

To include an image in a forum post, do you absolutely have to upload the image to the general internet and then refer to it by URL?
My screenshot is drivel... the whole internet doesn't need it.

No, I'm hot-linking the image already uploaded elsewhere, like Image Shack.
99.999983216% of images I post on forums aren't my own uploads.

I get this too. I've been trying to post images in my Dropbox for ages, but that always happens.
...
Strange.

(This is Vassago's image, just cropped for my phone, testing. Wierdly, it's working now.)
I wish I could say I did something to fix the OP's problem, but no... It didn't work before, does work now.
