So... I think there are some obligitory statements about game features one must make in their first post to complete the forum initiation. I'll just combine it all into a nice TL;DR and then we can move onto the important matter of my creative suggestions! Here goes;

I kinda miss R&R, ECM doesn't bug me, Atlai scare me, I love PPCs when they work, and being dropped into a game with 6 stalkers on each side was comical, being melted faster than a snowball at 425*F was not.

That said, I've an expansive list of suggested features that I may or may not like to see in-game. I'll keep the descriptions brief for now. And I apologize for any blatant canon discrepancies, I'm from MW4 onward.

1. Base defenses. I'm thinking A/C 2, A/C 5 or maybe medium pulse lasers. Enough punch to be annoying. Somewhere between 30 and 50 points of armor. The point is to make people have to go out of their way to kill them but not by too much. Maybe they can harvest code from the AMS system to make it work.

2. Field repair bays. Armor repair only, does not fix internals, busted equipment, or missing limbs. I don't see this working well without good reasons to break combat prematurely to RTB. However, I think it could add another layer of depth if you design a game mode to integrate it

3. Dropship game mode. I know it's coming down the pipe but I WANTS it!

4. Alternative Domination game mode. Instead of capping bases for resource points, you capture bases for tactical advantages AND resource points. And these tactical advantages could something like automatic defenses or a field repair bay. (see what I did there?)

5. Clan invasion teaser. I'd bet 1000MC that at least one 3D designer at PGI has a clan mech or two collecting dust in a folder until he's cleared to work on it. If I'm correct, they've already started hitting the Periphery. There's got to be one person out there lucky enough to snap a grainy, smoke-filled photo with his iPhone 90 before he gets blasted

6. Mech scale vs. environment. I love all the added environmental features like street lights in frozen city but the scale seems very off. It feels like our mechs are too big. Just walk up to a building and imagine how big that building would be if you climbed out of the cockpit. Some of them are smaller than my house!

7. Schedule for implementation of new features and patches. I'd like to see a whole lot more of exactly what I'm seeing right now. This game has changed so much since I became a founder and I'm very glad I made that leap. My single biggest regret is not being able to afford becoming a legendary founder when it was available. We've gone through LRM boating, Dragon rampaging, Gausspulting, base rushing, Streak boating, and now ECM hoarding and brawling. There will always be something to complain about. I encourage PGI to be educated and thorough regarding changes but also a little less conservative. It's still a Beta so throw us a curve ball some time. We are all here because stomping around in laser-wielding giant robots is FUN and as far I'm concerned, that's the only thing that matters.

Some notes:

1. This could be an interesting element to add to conquest mode, but I haven't had an Assault game end in a capture since the patch.

2. I believe I saw a Dev's response to this. Something along the lines of "No. Never. Not going to happen."

3. Alright, I'll just move along, then.

4. See 1 and 2

5. At the current rate, the iPhone 90 will be coming out sometime around 2097. You need to add at least one more zero.

6. Frozen City may not be the best example, since most of the map seems to be buried under 10-12 feet of snow. The scales in River City seem fine to me.

7. I like to know the timeline on some big things that will be changed, like putting collision damage back in, or melee combat (I hope), but some of the things they can't plan that long ahead. They have to test the changes first.
