Actually, I'm proud of how little I spent, considering what all I have. So, meh.

yep clean installed them twice just to be 100% sure and it happened both times but now I have reverted back to the previous drivers everything is back to how it should be :(
Weird ;)

Are you sure the card was in high performance mode when it ran its test? I've got a 560 and it scored 7.8 both Aero and Gaming in WEI with the 301.42 whql driver w/a slight overclock so your 580 should be a bit higher then mine. It was around 7.6 ish stock speeds with the 296.10 whql Driver w/o oc and I made sure it ramped up during those tests. Can use CPU-Z to check if it does it properly. Check all the power saving/management options in both device manager and nvidia's global/program preferences under Manage 3D Settings? I figure with reinstalling it might set itself back from Prefer Maximum Performance to its default of Adaptive. Also are you having any heat issues where the card might throttle itself down due to dust or a bad oc? Just throwing some ideas out there might just be the driver too >.<;

Ok! Look at this! Enough to wipe ......

Intel I7 2670QM 2.2Ghz
Nvidia 520MX
8GB memory
500GB HD
windows 7 64 bit
laptop monitor 1366 x 768

Still can all 3D games fluently with my resolutions, aint that a wonder :rolleyes:
I was suprised what mobile graphic cards can do. It's not high resolution, but it plays well.
So people...no uber expensive system required. My mech still will run as fast as yours =)

.... the slowest and replace it with mine

I am dual monitored, and dual-booted with Windows 7 64bit, but I loose my force feedback joystick on Win7. As well, Win7 randomly likes/dislikes my SB Live. Thankfully I have the USB sound interface on the keyboard for headset use, as both OS's like it.

and in a typical game or application that uses 4 threads or less(I'd be willing to bet 6 threads or less really for a I7), still gets it's arse handed to it by an I5. :)

sry, had to comeback
