easier solution is to 1 allow only 1 premade 4 man or less per team, or force 2 premade 4 mans per team, but never allow 2 premades on 1 team, and none or only 1 on the other.

No an easier solution would be to remake the MM system so that a player can create a game, and invite ALL players into it being both enemy and friendly. This way matches are set up 100% and there is no "Pugger" on either team or any sync-drop crap. This will also allow for league play.

Right, but it would also allow for some serious abuse if you could earn CBills / XP for such matches.

I'd be all for it, don't get me wrong, it just would need to have no rewards.

They have to keep it so that all players are encouraged to play in the "open" queues - to avoid players sharding themselves off into essentially private servers. So keep the money making in the queues, add no-reward private match options. It would be awesome (but then I do tend to think highly of my own ideas )

Well, I guess in theory 1 of the pre-made teams could try to ninja-cap which would leave their lone-wolf players facing the entire enemy team which might make it sort of like farming for the pre-made group that decided to fight rather than ninja-cap.

How often would that actually happen though since base cap rewards are so low?

Honest here....a lot of the pugs (and some premade folks also) can't fight their way out of a paper bag.... just won a 2 on 6 this morning... was in a stalker and a hunchback.

I find a lot of the time that 8v8 is way to "try hard." I play with a large group of players who, when we're on we're on. We talk for fun and some know each other in person. We communicate to a minimum and don't really use any strategy. Not everyone is the best of player but we still want to play together. When we get 10+ people into a channel we tend to sync drop and have fun regardless of if we drop together, against, into different maps, win or lose. Most people play to have fun in their favorite mechs, not to get mauled on by a perfectly balanced group with rigorous strategies and communication.

I can't wait to see what anti-premades complain about next!

This discussion isn't against pre-made teams.

This discussion is about pre-made teams that are exploiting the system to get 2x 4-player teams (or more than 4 players total) on the same side in matches that are limited to groups of 4.

The reason doesn't matter. Sync-drops where the groups end up on the same team are damaging the game by giving a significant advantage to the team doing the sync-drops. If a team isn't winning near 100% of the time doing sync-drops they must be really bad at the game and it's clear why they need to sync-drop in the first place.

There's no such thing as perfect strategies in this game, and comms can't help you when morale breaks, because the fatlases executed a flank, while your dudes were busy shooting towards the front.

If you suck so hard you can't play 8 manz, but feel it's perfectly fine to synch-drop, I don't know what to tell you. When they take synchs out, and you have the option of ghetto pubbing with 4, and getting your rears ruined in the ghetto, or going up against Kong in 8 manz, are you gonna quit the game in protest?
