12 days until 3050, and you all know what that means! Clan Invasion time. In lore, wave 1 starts in March 3050, do you think the devs will get CW implemented by then? I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Clans.

lolno on CW implemented by then. We *might* see a clan mech or two, but I'm not holding my breath.

Doubt it... not a huge deal IMO.

Granted I want to see it happen, but I dont mind if it doesn't happen by march etc.

Clan Invasion by March? I just can't think that it will be possible... there just seems like there is far to much to get done before that can happen.

Which is fine with me because Clan Tech opens a whole other can of worms and the forum QQ will go off the chart.

I would be ok with them setting the timeline back or pause the timeline, whatever. Get all the CW in place let the Houses war it out for a bit, everyone get comfortable and cozy, then plow the Clans toward Terra and let loose the havoc

Would be a huge mistake with the current state of the game. We don't even have balance within the current game. Additionally we don't even have all our mechs and equipment.

I sure hope the clan are AI controlled - the game needs a common enemy.

CW/Clan invasion by March? Completely feasible. This last patch was one of the largest we've seen, it has strengthened my faith in the devs (which was never lost btw).

I hate to be the one to say it, but if CW isn't initially implemented by mid January then we definitely won't see a decent CW in March.

CW is a very sophisticated, large component and given PGI's (and most other dev team's) release pattern it'll take at least a couple months to get it straightened out and well done. That's not even considering that it'll probably be released in phases. that also doesn't take into account the fact that PGI hasn't made any mention of it in a while.

Just my 2 cents, but if it follows the standard pattern then we'll hear something about it from PGI, 2 to 3 months after that the release will be staged over a period of 3 to 4 months, with another few weeks (or months) mixed in for schedule slips and bugs. All in all, I'd expect it to take half a year from announcement to full release. That clock doesn't start now, it starts when they make some kind of release acknowledgement about it.

Then again, maybe we'll be surprised.

No thank you, not until netcode and lagshields are fixed. Also I want to play with IS stuff for a while; battle it out among the other houses in community warfare. I don't want to deal with the garbage that is clan tech.

Personally I wouldn't want to see the clans show up with CW either. I like me some Inner Sphere rivalry to start things off. Not to mention it would be fewer variables to worry about when rolling out the system. All depends on when it's done and if the Clans are fashionably late etc that wouldn't be the end of the universe.
