Just had a game, This atlas just sitting there. Not moving.
I unloaded 5 salvos of 3x LRM 15's. Just went to light yellow.
Range of: 500-600, Had artemis, direct LOS, no ECM in play, had lock on.

This dude should be dead, but he just sat there with light yellow armor dmg.

Am I missing something here?

Didn't hear any AMS going off. So I would say no.

LRMS still feel as powerful to me as they did a few weeks ago, maybe it was netcode/lag/hitbox issue or something?

Did you have LoS and made sure he is not behind or partially behind cover?

I had direct LOS, and he was out in the open, no partial coverings or what not.

Not seeing any issues with LRMs for such targets. Sounds like a glitch. I use twin ALRM15 and they all hit on immobile targets without cover. If this happens to you repeatedly I'd make a video with FRAPS or such and post it to YT, maybe there is something going on that you did not consider (ECM?).

I tend to get killed a lot by trying to play LRM builds nowadays. Dunno what it is. I think its ECM+ something else. Most of the time your just wasting your missles firing them into nothing and being confused by all the 1 millisecond long targets locks and target losses until someone closes in on you.

Here is a vid I posted of a LRM + Artemis build about as optimal as it gets these days.

I think I was hammering away as well as I could mostly for nothing in the end :\

Well, 5 Salvos of 3xLRM15 are not really a death blow to an healthy Assault.

81 damage per salvo, provided all missiles strike.
405 potential damage total. I would imagine even an Atlas would show signs of severe damage after weathering such an attack in the open supported by Artemis. Sounds like many of the missiles failed to hit.

Yeah, if all your missiles hit but some/many of them miss and the damage is spread randomly...the big launchers have a low efficiency...you simply can overload AMS with them.

To be honest , I've witnessed some strange behavior with all kind of missiles be LRM or SRM. Short story , I've dropped with an 6SRM6 Artemis Catapult managed to sneak up right behind an Atlas (Read 10meters) alpha him , only to see on the paper doll that's he took almost no damage from an 90 dmg alpha (he was only light orange from behind) , so something is definitely wrong with missiles on this patch.
My ping is around 130ms so maybe at those latency missile tend to act in a rather strange maner.

an atlas can have over 600 armor. so factoring in damage spread, a number of misses (even with artemis?), and ams its possible, though still unlikely. furter depending on the number of tubes in your variant ams can be more or less effective.

really though ams is no the killer it use to be, its more just for softening and supressing.

LRMs have been working fine for me. You may have encountered a glitch. I run dual LRM15 Artemis in my Stalker and get a lot of damage with them.

I play missile support pretty much all the time. I think lag plays a big role. Had plenty of times where I am pounding away and do well, then other games where a pound away with less than 150 damage done and one assist at the end of the match.

nah LRMs are just as dominating as before..provided the target isn't hidden bye ecm. As soon as someone is out of cover, he is dead. (or so severely damaged that there's no real difference )
