Win8 64bit Pro

The last patch did something to the way the game exits and it now crashes.

This crash takes the form of the screen remaining black and it not exiting to windows. The irritating part is win8 taskbar is not displayed when you open it because the game is on top of it. Only way to get back the desktop and close the game is to restart.

Ive reinstalled the game twice from scratch and it still happens. There have been no software or hardware changes...and this begun exactly at the last patch.
