So from what I understand case prevent ammo from blowing up when a part is destroyed. If I put my ammo in the core I wouldn't need a case right? Or can ammo be blown up from shots to a part as well?

Also is ammo safe in the cockpit?

Ammo explosions cause damage to your Internal Structure. C.A.S.E. stop the damage from spreading to your center torso. So CASE does not stop Ammo Exposions.

If that player had been using CASE, while the ammo would have still exploded and removed his right torso, his mech would still be alive and functioning since the explosion would not spread to the rest of his mech. This picture brought to you buy someone posting it once, then found on google!

Just remember that an XL Engine take up 3 Crit Slots in each Side Torso (Right and Left). So the lose of a torso means the Mech still shuts down.

but can ammo explode just from shots or does the part have to be removed? I got destroyed earlier when my armor was fine and I was curious if its because I have ammo in the core and cockpit or if the guy just got lucky and got a headshot that killed me.

Over heating to many times can also cause your ammo to explode. I died in a match last night because I over heated. I thought I had received a Head SHot, but, when I reveiwed my Fraps video I saw I killed myself.Anytime you see the phrase like "Skylarr has killed Skylarr" it is either because the pilot went Out Of Bonds or His ammo exploded because he Over Heated to many times.

Didn't know that I will watch using override but it happened to me at the start of a match. I guess he must have just got a good headshot in.
