Because, y'know, people just buy one of each and swap them around anyway. Might end up being a bigger c-bill sink if people were to buy a bunch at 400k rather than one at 6 mil.

Yeah, the mindset behind their pricing logic is ******* weird.

What am I supposed to use my money for, then?

Moneysinks are important. In fact, we need more modules, period. I'm swimming in money again, even after buying three stalkers.

I agree with this.

However, the design of spending SO much ******* money on a module that can easily be swapped around is stupid. It's nice for players because it can easily be exploited, but it makes no sense from a business perspective.

If you look at it this way, it will make clearer sense:

Let's say I drop 1.5 million c-bills on a module and put it in Mech A.

Mech A dies and I feel compelled to play Mech B because I want to gain XP with it (or whatever). So I wait until Mech A is no longer "in-game" so I can put them in Mech B.

Why? Because it's better than spending another 1.5 million c-bills on something that is so easy to swap around.

They should either make the modules cheaper...or make it so that they can't be swapped once they are installed.

Agreed. Plus it helps newer players even the gap more. If there are new mechs coming out fairly regularly, the money sink is new mechs. Plus, as new weapons become available, you will need to buy them as well. The GXP cost alone is enough of a barrier right now. Yes, I know you can convert XP to GXP via MC. However, that method benefits the Publisher more since it costs real cash to do it. Paying C-bills earns them nothing.

That's right, nothing to say against new modules.
But it is right as well that modules are too expensive for the following reasons:
1. I think new players should be able to buy at least one or two modules for their mechs, too.
2. I would like to have modules for all of my mechs, so i don't have to swap them around every match.

3. Not every player has Founder Mech, Premium Account and the time to play 24 hours a day....

Another possible solution is that a module is unlocked for every mech by buying it once, so you have to spend the millions of C-Bills only one time and don't have to swap your modules around all the time.

Yeah, lot of players do this. Please change the modules to lower cost.
500k - 2million depending on the module
