I've all ways been curious if there are any notable lone wolf pilots in the lore? I'm also curious about what type of battlemech would of been common among lone wolf pilots. The thing is outside of the Solaris arena I'm not sure if there is much info on these notable lone wolf pilots with in the main lore. Do you guys know of any such pilots, and what battlemechs they piloted ?

Bounty hunter.

Except for him, all die really fast with nothing to fall back to.

uuhm, most mercs are Lone Wolfs by nature that only join certain units if the pay is right.

If they own mechs they are usually family heirlooms and rather old.

Yeah he is the only one I can think of, though I have not read too many of the books. Is he the one with the Marauder painted with $ signs? What a bada$$ :P .

Lone Wolves were a collective of individual Pilots that elected (Sort of) leaders to negotiate contract for them

see Link http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Lone_Wolves

What you see today is Pilots running PUG's as Lone Wolf's . . . and getting rolled, And leave the game

We That Registered as Lone Wolf's have created a Support page for what PGI intended: Lone Pilots

SO PUG's, Lone Wolf's, and Lone Wolves are 3 separate entities actually

The Bounty Hunter isn't actually a Lone Wolf, despite what some think, it's a title, like the Dread Pirate Roberts from 'The Princess Bride' and is passed on to others as time goes on. There's also an actual TEAM that works with the Bounty Hunter, so..yeah, not a Lone Wolf by any means  http://www.sarna.net...e_Bounty_Hunter

Otherwise..nope, they don't exist, in the novels or TT setting, trying to run solo isn't feasible. There are no famous Lone Wolves or even sorta well known in this locale Lone Wolves :D

The Colonial Marshals can be seen as some kind of lone wolves. Sure, they have a parent organization that outfits and supplies them, but they are sent out alone to guard the periphery planets and rarely work together.

Pirates and periphery scum, other than the aforementioned bounty hunter, and even he has a team of 3 to 6 according to the lore
