Stats are not public, so you can't really compare yours to someone else's. They kinda do represent skill in terms of how did you perform today compared to yesterday, or how you perform in a group of 4 compared to solo.

It's becoming an epidemic I see 2 - 6 people per match hitting Alt F4 to keep their KDR stat artificially inflated.

But it also screws me out of experience for a kill I would have had and I could care less about my KDR stat I want the experience for the kill.

Or just make it so that when your mech suffers destruction it means your character has been killed. Just because you have d/c from the game does not mean your stats should no longer be affected. And we know people with 3.0 + KDR are just bsing it, cause I am sorry if you play 800+ rounds, your going to come across better players and it will have a huge effect on your KDR.

Jokes aside, I still look with suspecting eyes on those people who post their stats. The only way I aknowledge them is while fighing with or against them.

This may count for you, but look at other people who have a 14+ KDR and post it proudly. Would you believe them to have aquired that in pug-matches? Where a single person wins 95% of the games singlehanded, because the rest of the team is already dead? Their Win/Losses go hand in hand with their KDR and the average XP (>1000 per match)

But in 33% of the pug drops, you will face a team of people, who will die like flies and you are the only one left. So, I shall believe, that those people take the other 8 or 7 mechs out on their own and win the match?

I don't hate the stats because of leavers, I hate them on principle.
Those stats shouldn't matter in a team game with different roles. A light will usually have less damage dealt and kills (if any), but the game won't show that said pilot managed to distract 4 guys on the opposite team while the rest of his team went 7 on 4.
