Im very interested in joining the Mech world, but im a bit confussed about it in general?? The joining part......

(mech pilotg/weapons/modules i know kinda, have palyed mech2/3/4 in past years).


The copy i now use to play MWO i just downloaded last week. I created an account (hence i can post here) and have read ALOT of the forums, and have played some (12) training games i guess. Thats were im loosing it....From what ive read on the forums, people are earning C-Bills, M points, buying mechs and gear, and generly leveling up and getting better stuff ...right?.

But my copy says this is a BETA, i will not (and dont) earn any credit, and i get 4 strater/training mechs to play. I can get in matches with those training mechs (although it appears we all having training mechs....no amp'd up mechs that ive read about people building in the forums. And the latest update news on the game says its still beta, Release to public to be announced.

Can you or can you not actually sign up to start buying mechs/earning credit???

I see you can BUT MP (?), but NOTHING about actually starting to gaining points from play? Nothing that say "JOIN HERE...". All ive found is BUY mp's (?)

Yes, i looked at the "new guy" posts, and nothing that really addresses where to begin "Playing", and not just "trial'g"?

i dont get it...

you are getting Cbills ( you can buy mechs and eq for it )

the second currency are mechwarriorcredits ( MC ) you cant earn them you can just buy them.
( some mechs are hero mechs and you can buy them only with MC .. but they arent better just got another look ).

so you earn with your trial mechs cbills .. then you buy at your mechlab a real mech ( click mechlab and theres 1 point : Trial mechs and another 1 right below it .. there you will find 4 empty mechbays for the mechs you own ).

and if you press LAUNCH ( on the right upper corner ) you are alrdy realy playing..

i hope it did help.. if not ask again... trying to give you tomorrow an answer since not many ppl checking this part of the forum.

You helped alot silveoo (sp?)....what i wasnt understandg was the economy...which you helped with, thanxs. The other was, i did not realize you could chose "mechs owned" tab, under "trial mechs" tabs (lower lh screen area). And THAT in turn brought up , empty mech bays, choices of mech size, ect.... That you helped alot with too, ...it made me say "come on stupid, what are you not doing right", to myself.
