There is certainly a difference between a dual-core laptop and a brand new rig, but compare a single card setup to an SLI setup or a i7 to an i5 (even current vs. last gen) and the specs are pretty much the same.
In fact, I see absolutely no FPS improvement regardless if I am playing at 5760x1080 or 1920x1080.

16GB RAM
Nvidia 580GTX
800W PSU
Average FPS at about 40-50

4GB DDR2
GTX260
128GB SSD (Made a big difference to minimum fps)
1600 x 900 resolution, AA off, but AF and edge blurring on.
Everything on 'Very High' apart from shadows which are off - but with some tweaking to the config file.
I average around 45-50fps in combat, sometimes flicks to ~30 in the worst spots in a brawl, some maps it's up around 70-90fps.

RAM: 12GB
GPU: 2x Radeon HD5870, main card OC to 1000MHz core, 1270MHz memory, second card stock @ (850MHz/1200MHz)
MoBo: MSI 790FX-GD70 (meh)
PSU: ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ1100 1100W
HDD: OS: WD Caviar 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200 Game: Samsung Spinpoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
SSD (if available): N/A
Case (not neccecary): NZXT M59
I run at 1920x1080 at Very High settings average around 30-40fps, 60fps out of combat and plain scenes, drops to teens sometimes in firefight. I've tried all settings and it only really affects the minimum fps, so I keep it pretty. Crossfire does not help at all, the CPU overclock was good for some serious fps gains though.

- Dual-Core E2200 @ 2.20Ghz
- Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
- 4GB RAM (only 3 in use) DDR2 @ 667MHz
- 450W PSU
After much tweaking, I got it to run MWO at ~15FPS, though it also gets the dreaded 4FPS bug every other match unless I restart the client and delete the shaders' cache - so I haven't really played much as of late.
Still, I can't really complain - this machine has served me faithfully for years, and it should be retired soon, anyway.
I hope to get a new desktop PC as of early January or late February, with:
- AMD Phenon II 965 Black Edition @ 3.4GHz
- Sapphire HD 7850 OC 1GB DDR5 (I only use one monitor)
- 8GB RAM DDR3 @ 1600GHz
- 650W PSU
I've really no idea what kind of FPS rate I'm going to squeeze out of this; hopefully at least ~45, I mean, gods, it's not like I can't optimize for low-end rigs, and I fully intend to play MWO in the lowest possible settings.

Oh, I know this is supposed to be one of those e-peen threads, but ou have to keep one thing in mind: I'm that guy whom actually uses Flamers.

8gb DDR3
Radeon HD 6750
Runs decently on high minus AA and with low shadows (really hoping for something in the 7000 series from Santa this year). Hardware optimization is needed, as I can bump up the clock speed on the GPU/memory and get no results at all on MWO, whereas I get a noticeable FPS increase on things like Farcry 3 or other recent games. I really only gain 5-10 FPS by switching to low, which leads me to believe MWO isn't pushing the GPU all that hard even with everything maxed out. It doesn't look bad, but not at all what I'd expect from Cryengine 3 after seeing how gorgeous Farcry 3 is on my rig.

8gb ram
Radeon 6970m Video card
PCB/PSU/Case: iMac 27" bootcamp'ing with Win 8 Pro
Flame away, but I replaced my old Windows 7 gaming rig with my iMac and don't regret it one bit. It's dead silent and I haven't really tried anything that makes me run at less than full settings.
