Azantia said "I give you guys no more than 3 months before you run away licking your wounds due to a general lacking of any and all the skills required to be successful in a persistent battletech/mechwarrior universe / community."

lol /facepalm

Ya know...I'll take that bet. Matter of fact..let take this a bit further shall we? Let's see, since we dont know each other personally, a materialistic bet would just not be possible. However...the way I feel about you Azantia, Im willing to go here. What about this.
I'll give you your three months. You can continue to sprawl about and talk your normal amount of ridiculous troll talk and in that time, nothing really matters. BUT! When those three months are over if at LEAST the amount of people you have in your unit NOW, that have engaged in this topic are NOT gone? You will sign off for good and not log a single minute more to this forum or to this game.

Now, lets say you ARE right...lets say the current "goons" of the Old MPBT dissolves and we go "running away" because we are "oh so scared", then I WILL leave. Not logging on for a moments more to here on the forums or the game.
Those that know me here know I am a man of my word. And believe me, the stakes are high...but would be honored.

You willing to accept this bet Azantia? You willing to sacrifice your unit and this game? I am. And if your not prepared to do so then quit writing checks your butt cant cash.

I, as always, find your posts humorous and enlightening Azantia. I just cant wait to hear your reply.

Sad part for everyone is once the clans invade im going to defect from the IS and drive the Smoke Jaguars right to Terra Posted Image

Good luck with that. Though it dovetails nicely with my plan to slaughter Kerensky's Deserters on a Kentares IV scale. Particularly the grey kittens. :(

LordRush.....you need to go back and read the thread.

I did not say I give the MPBT crowd three months, I say I give the goons three months.
The MPBT crowd will be here because they love battletech. They just fail to understand that there are people out there that love battletech as much or more than they do, who werent a part of MPBT. They would do so much for their group/this community if they could get off their high horse because of a single game.

But, as we all know, your ego once again makes it impossible for you to see reality.

We have agreed to disagree, and yet you continue to try to bring up the past. We are so far past that crap dude. You have your group, we have ours.

As I said, the MPBT have some great groups and good leaders. I just think your general attitude towards the community is pretty crappy, and that is a true shame.

And I will take your bet that the 1st Blackburn's Raiders will still be around 3 months after release.

Release is in summer, so lets say Jan 2013. (that actually gives you additional time).

I will be sure to post on 01 Jan 2013 and cite this thread.

Good luck to you and "The Prince."

Yes, the main post is old, so going off of it is not fair in the least to Metro until he'd have time to update his ideas/thoughts with the new info we have available to us.

As we know it there won't really be a chain of command due to how the game's overall going to work, at least at launch. Regardless of that or if one gets started by anyone of the house, the basic concern is people being alienated due to the poor attitudes of the previous game communities trying to mesh with this new one (which is made up of many other old communities.)

It's as simple as that, the self entitlement of many from previous individuals and communities is off putting and we find that it's unfortunate and detrimental to bringing people together due to their love of Battletech. I bear no ill will against anyone until they feel they're more entitled to a certain position/etc then someone else without the proper discourse and conversation with newer members of the community.

We're in this together, but we feel some members are going about it quite the wrong way.
