I do think it should be a different icon but that will do for now.
Mid January Patch, two patches from now.

We the lucky few who have the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with friends and family. We must not forget however the fallen before us, felled by an over zealous team mate who only thought of the destruction of the enemy. He leaves behind a young wife who will be forced to raise their three children alone. We must look past this tragedy however and focus on the enemy ahead. We all have our personal fights to fight. Some worth fighting, some probably not. This young widow must now face a new battle of her own while our unknown fallen friend knows not the pain of life. I leave you reading this with the words of a movie long lost to history.
Why...why are the innocent punished
Why the sacrifice, why the pain
There aren't any promises, nothing is certain
Only that some get called, some get saved
We commit this body to the void with a glad heart
For within each seed there is a promise of a flower
That within each death, no matter how small
There is always a new life, a new beginning
(Okay so I paraphrased the last bit a little so it would sound right.)

I got within range of a Hunchie and a Cataphract and started shooting, circling and then zig zagged my way slowly back to the trap making sure trigger and happy were after me. After I got to the ambush zone, my guys start unloading on ME. I am like what? I type in STOP FRIENDLY HERE.
The friendlies cored my little NON ECM Raven and then the 2 enemies finished me quickly after MY guys blew my weapons off.
I typed in WTF? and then Damn when I died, We eventually won the match, but I was thinking what a bunch of jerks. I see now, maybe wasnt their fault. Good to know. BUT I never powered down and I did not have ECM, the Raven 4x crap doesnt carry it and cant carry it, but you have to complete the tree to get the 3L to master.

Some are better at it than others. Thomas is exceptional. That said, there does seem to be a slight trend of increased Dev communication, which I hope will continue to blossom.

I must have hit him with the AC20 4-5 times. Then when he finally powers back up he has a blue marker on him. Needs fixing definitely.

That's kinda cool. Should help situations like the OP's and prevent some otherwise inintentional friendly fire.
Does this also open a door to a new module/component? An IFF Jammer of some sort? that'd be interesting, strategically speaking. Or crap, depends on your view point.
