Greetings fellow MechWarriors!

Atm. Pulse Laser are very similar to normal Lasers, while in TT and books, they are descriped as some kind of a laser machine gun.

So. To make them worth the heat and the tons, PGI could chance PLs like this for example:

IF you pull the trigger, the PLs fire constantly as long as you hold down the trigger.

WHILE you hold the trigger, heat is generated.

IF you stop firering, the recycle time beginns and heat is not longer generated.

---

Just compare PLs to normal Ls: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...eapon_ballistic

My personal friend is the small pulse laser, double the tons, for 0.09 DPS more...

What do you think about this?

PROS: Unique PLs, Makes PL more controllable
CONS: Needs more work to balance?

Unique features aside, some rebalancing is on its way (link below). That should help some. But I agree at the moment they are not worth it. They suffer from increased heat, weight, and decreased range compared to normal lasers. Too many penalties for the gain. Link for reference (see last post): http://mwomercs.com/...apon-balancing/

Same reasoning can be placed upon the AC. Auto Cannon is supposed to work like a machine gun but we get a semi automatic instead.

Yup, thats is ONE part, but the ablilty to fire them "at will" would make them worth it imo.

Come on. Isn't it at least something to think about?

I thought they pulsed, like the name. They sound cool and worth taking by having a shorter firing time and recharge time.

Holding them down would lead to more boating surely? Anyone remember what 6 of these can when they were on the k2?

IF there is a problem, I see it with heat efficient ballistic mechs with like 1 or 2 pulse.
