Can we please have this.

This is one of those "little things" that can be added to make the game better without breaking it.

Put ammo into your mech and it creates a side tab where you can tick off the box which represents one of the sections with ammo. Ammo is drawn from that area first and so on.

Oh and an Urbanmech,

Oh and an Urbanmech,

i have thought about this several times, but it is very low on my list of priorities.

Apart from technical mechanics and netcode etc, crap like this is more important than putting in tech our mechs can use.

It's one of those foundation elements of the game.

i suppose that is just a difference of opinion. i wholeheartedly disagree. new tech and variation for the mechs is vital to the mech lab, which is one of the core elements of this game. but again this appears to be a simple difference of opinion that cannot be argued away.

You'd think it would be easy enough to key to the different areas on your mech with ammo, triggering the count down from those areas first.

This helps with the whole "sim" feel. Changing your feed locations as damage is done to your mech.

Quite frankly with the way that everything gets borked or is under represented in how it works, tech has been sort of a whiff in my eyes.

After ECM is hopefully tweaked, I can't think of any other tech that should be dumped into the game at this time.

Time to go back and flesh out other aspects of the game that have been rushed and hushed in favour of flashy new toys.

the difficulties associated with adding something like this in depend very strongly on how ammo works in their system. it could all be one big ammo bin that ammo is drawn from and the individual ammo components are ignored unless a critical hit is scored.

they also have several other aspects of the game that need adjustment as well:
lag shield (although i think this one has been mostly removed since last patch)
tag
narc
the never ending lrm mess
ecm
jump jets
the whole friggin economy
and more that i am too lazy to list.

^^this is why i say the ammo draw is low priority. not that i wouldn't like it but there are many other things that need attention first.

This idea is fine and all but the only problem I really have with it is it increases an already steep learning curve for new players. I can imagine the frustration because they cannot fire as they do not realize how to load their weapons.

We have enough crying and whining as it is on these forums. I honestly think this will only add to it. As such, while the idea is good in theory, I don't think I can support it in practice.
