Hey everyone, I've been reading around and have noticed that people are claiming that the top speed of any mech is 139 KM/H. Well, I have a raven that's running over 150 KM/H but I'm worried that I'm wasting space if the top speed is indeed 139 KM/H.

Can anyone confirm or dispell this?

Thanks in advance.

Have you upgraded the Speed Tweak in the Mech Tree? If so you should be able to run up to 150 km/h.

With that said, I recall seeing posts regarding the current netcode can't handle speed beyond 150 km/h.

Honestly the netcode doesn't handle over 100 kph very well.
That is why people are talking about lag shielding.
For me a mech moving that fast is really ahead of where it appears on my screen.
If I target where they appear to be, I'll completely miss.
So it isn't much different than leading your target with an autocannon round, except you have to lead that far with lasers and even farther with ballistic weapons.
It's no wonder I avoid ballistic weapons whenever possible.
With speed tweak, you can do 150 kph and mechs do go that fast, at least 150 moves away from mechs doing 138 noticably.
~150 is the current limit.

Aha, okay. Thank you! That's just what I needed.

Yes, I do have Speed Tweak. I'm running in my Raven 3L at 150.2 KM/H right now.
