I don't think anyone's against getting some new maps but I don't see a lot of talk about this. To me this has been the single largest issue since I started playing at the start of open beta. It's what keeps the amount of games low for me. There's only so many games of the same relatively small map I can take per day. No, night versions of same maps feel completely irrelevant as I spend most of the round with thermal on anyways.

I'm sure coming up with ideas for maps is not an issue at all, it's that there's not enough people to work on them. I can understand. Still, game is getting really really repetitive as people run with generally one or two types of tactics per map, which don't offer that much freedom anyway since they are pretty small.

Tbh if you spend most of your matches with thermal vision on, you aren't really going to notice much difference either way.

I wish I didn't have to, but thermal offers superior spotting capability. Large reason is also the foggy and poorly lit maps. Anyway, It's going to be a lot easier to spot a peeking sniper 700m away with thermal as long as there's no maximum range on it, no matter the lighting conditions. I always found that weird.

Regardless there's a difference, even with thermal on. It's not just the scenery. Every map has it's own game flow and pacing.

I do understand your point, and i'd also like to see some new original maps rather than renamed maps with different lighting effects. But i think new maps will probably come later on next year.

Yeah it's the same in most betas. There's actual techical stuff to work first. I just wanted to point this out since I don't see people asking for maps and it's kind of a large issue for me.

World of Tanks had just couple of maps in beta. It actually took a long time even after release until they started adding new maps at any sort of decent rate.

There isn't a lot of talk about this because they have announced their schedule of new maps for the near future. Also, it has been talked to death and we just got a night (alternate) map last patch.

I think the option would be to add some test maps with ideas for us to try, see what works and what doesn't before completing the design of any map. At this stage I'd like to think they had chucked in lots of ideas even if they prove to be unplayable when tested.

2/3 months for 2 new maps i think they need to change that schedule. The game seems to have a fair balance now so dont mess around with that and create more problems, just get some new maps in not rehashed ones. Its not beta there advertising everyone to join and taking in money. And night map i could have done that by turning my brightness level down. Im fairly patient with a game i like but am geting bored of the lack of maps.
