While I will be the first to admit that LRMs were previously extremely overpowered, now they are too underpowered. While I do not believe that an LRM boat should be the most powerful Mech in the game I do not think that Mechs should be able to ignore LRMs as if they were little gnats. LRMs are so underpowered now that most everyone has abandoned the use of them and AMS. I have about 20 Mechs with all kinds of load-outs, two were LRM boats. I took LRMs off of one of them and kept my DDC in thoughts that because it had three LRM15s it would still be viable, but it isn't. I played a match yesterday and launched missiles continuously for the entire match on Mechs in unobstructed LOS with Artemis and TAG engaged from about 300-400 away. This was 900-1000 LRMs and only dealt about 300 damage.
Practically speaking, there is no point in using LRMs if you have to launch 1000 misiles and have BAP, ECM, TAG, and Artemis to do 300-400 damage. LRMs are not a viable weapon at this time.

Even though I'm not a LRM user, but I agree. LRMs are no serious threat anymore and I can close with a missile boat easily at 64 kph without taking too much damage.

I thought It couldn't just be my bad aim...
Yeah a little too hard on the Nerfhammer I think Nice mr Developer. Nudge it back a bit pretty please just a touch. Or else add in a feature like increasing hit ratio for longer held lock ons etc. That might make some sense if the missile volleys get more and more accurate (up to a point) as you hold that target lock on your prey?
Ca't recall the last time I saw somebody shut down to break an LRM missile lock - can you? I know I don't any more certainly - but then I so far have kept my AMS.

I hope there are plans to tweak LRM damage some more. Has anyone seen any Dev posts addressing the LRM weakness?
