ALL lights should have the option of 1 missile slot as SSRM2's are Light Mech equalizers. I have been running the latest Light, the Spider, and the only one remotely viable in-game is the 5D with ECM. One of the others needs to be tweaked to add 1 missile slot to even the playing field. Otherwise this will more than likely become yet one more Mech that has been added that will not be played.

I will say that a spider with streak SRM2 would be nice. But having the 5D pair up with a jenner or any other light with jump jets can realy open up new scouting options for light drivers and drop leaders. Jump jets like ECM can be a force multipler in the right hands.

You could just leave only one light in the entire game, the end.

Dont you DARE try give my Jenner 7F useless missile slots!
It eats 3Ls for breakfast, why would i change my medium lasers/TAG loadout for weapons that fail to work when any of the decent light mech builds come within range?

Better to fix SSRM than to start adjusting the wrong things. If people believe all 'mechs need SSRM to be competitive then SSRM are OP and need to be fixed. If that means nerf'd then so be it.

SSRMS used to be at a point where you could dodge them if you were fast enough - plus they didn't do the damage that they do now (And they were still good and well used), but well-aimed lasers were superior.
Now, they're arguably better than hitting with a laser every time - and good luck doing that. They're extremely hard to fight against if you don't have them youself.
There was a time when we would actually argue whether the Jenner-D or the Jenner-F was the better variant, and there was definitely cases to be made for either. Now it's the Raven 3L, all the way.

Exactly. No one thing should be a must have, except maybe armor. ECM, SSRM, and LRM all fall into this category of must have or you're gimped. This means MW:O devs have done a poor job balancing things and need to look at their game closer.
