Occasionally during random matches, the screen repeatedly freezes every 3-4 seconds as though something is killing my cpu/gpu cycles similar to the 4 fps bug, although it sometimes stops and is fine for the rest of the match.

This has only begun happening since the last patch and a couple of guys i'm playing with now have experienced this bug tonight also, has anyone else had this problem? I'd like to see if this is a local issue or something the dev's need to be made aware of.

I'm running the following in case anyone thinks it's my PC:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1
AMD FX 64 quad core @ 3.60ghz
8GB DDR3 Corsair Ram
GeForce GTX 650

I'm experiencing this too, at the rate of once per ten or so games.

You guys checked your temperature during those peak loading times? Could be throttling.

I sorta had that too tonight, and to be honest I think the problem was either a brief issue with my internet connection (its usually pretty stable and I normally have a 14ms ping), or a server side issue....

...I extremely rarely run into the low FPS bug, which I suspect are related to memory leaks since it only happens after several matches without rebooting the client. This one happened on my second match after launching the client with no work done in the mechbay. I tend to restart the game a lot to avoid issues on nights when I want to grind...other nights I let it ride to see what happens.

My temps are all perfectly fine been monitoring them with HWmonitor during games. As i stated earlier this seems to have been introduced with the last patch.

I don't know if this is similar to a problem I've been experiencing on and off since last patch. I've only noticed it when in a Raven 3L with ECM. (I just purchased one and am grinding with it.) It doesn't seem like low FPS on my machine but more like warping. I'll be running for 5 seconds or so and then appear back where I started. One game I ran the same half-circle around an opponent four times. I'll also appear in a completely different spot on the map as though I was running blind for 5-10 seconds. If this was a low FPS issue on the server side it would make sense. I haven't run my Jenner or another fast light too much since the patch and have not experienced this when I did. Did not have the problem in my Catapults or Atlas.

edit: I should add that restarting my client did not fix the issue. I had to quit playing for a while and when I came back it happened a lot less.

For the temporary issues, are you running Task Manager or Process Explorer to see if anything is is sucking up CPU cycles?

For a few disabling Windows Media Sharing cured their issues, as the service was pegging the CPU to max.
