I have been toying around with this but i am wondering what is the most optimal setup for it. I currently have 19 double heatsink yet i would overheat in 2 alpha strikes. I am using the default engine giving with the mech. Should i sub it for a xl engine?

I don't think it can be done, at least, not particularly.
I was toying with the idea of a 3 LL, 2 ML laser boat with single heatsinks, but it would not offer enough additional cooling capacity to justify downgrading from a 340 XL engine to a 300 XL engine. Personally, I would prefer to use a 3D and use 4 large lasers and a 340XL. (This was before jump jets were nerfed, or "fixed.")
