

Add Vehicles To The Map

atm the map is only a dead zone only players are moving, how about adding tanks, mobile LRM ,choppers, gunboats and gunturrets?
Tanks, choppers, LRM, gun boat start moving at begin of the map to the enemy's HQ and attack every enemy on their way.
Gunturrets MG/ac2 or srm2 defending HQ, shoot on every enemy units.
They should not give players advantages but make the maps more interesting.

I personally would LOVE that idea.
But this would mean the need of an AI...and THATS a bunch of work,.
Still: Would love that idea. Defended Cap Spots....mhhhhh

This suggestion has been made at least a myriad times and has been discussed and answered by the devs at least the same number of times.
In short: NO
Not at this point, maybe somewhere in the far future together with KI and NPCs.
Not that I wouldn't like it. I do. But they have a whole lot of more pressing maters to invest recourses into wouldn't you aggree ?

I had an idea I posted in another suggestion.. I think it could be sort of fun. Imagine DOTA. 1 giant map. 2 Bases spawning AI controlled tanks, choppers, planes, elementals, infantry, whatever you can think of.. Would have repair stations in the bases. Allow respawns but the respawn timer would take longer and longer the further into the game you are.. objective is to kill the enemy base. Perhaps add some side bases that could have objectives like.. a power generator that powers a shield array on the base, or would lower the defensive turrets or make them fire slower.. I've got a lot of ideas haha
Obviously this is a dream and I doubt they would ever implement any of this but hey, I CAN DREAM!

Mayhaps you has been playing too many MOBAs.

Also me would approve this idea if it were a separate game mode.
& such a game mode would be very annoying for anyone running ballistics or missiles only. (As they would has to waste precious ammo on NPC.)

Actually, I typically don't like MOBA's.. I played a little bit of LoL, but man is that crowd of gamers hostile!

Yea it would definitely be a separate game mode. Maybe even just not reward exp or c-bills, would just be a totally for fun mode to give us something else to do, and balance wouldn't be that big of a deal since there wouldn't be anything at stake.

Well there would be rearming stations in the bases and maybe out in the field so mechs with limited ammunition could resupply their ammo!

In my opinion, making robust PvP missions should be a very high priority. Right now, the two game modes they offer are too much like a mindless arcade game (i.e., kill or cap...repeat). That's not Mechwarrior...that's more like any generic shooter out there.
As for AI and available resources, it wouldn't require that much. We're not talking about complex AI like mobs in most other MMOs. We're talking about simple, rudimentary AI that follows a pre-scripted path and attacks any enemy that crosses that path. Even the most basic of AI can handle that.
