I'd like to see some sort of starter pack implemented. Make it different from the founders so its worth a purchase, and you can't spend MC to buy it.
I'd suggest:
- Choice of 1 Mech (possibly with a C-Bill bonus, maybe lower than others?): Light (Raven? Spider?), Medium (Centurion? Cicada?), Heavy (Dragon?), Assault (Stalker? Highlander?): To make this appealing to existing players, a choice of the newer mechs may be in order, as it maybe guarentee a purchase from them (it also adds variety). Maybe it could be based on the current trial mechs?
- Some Mechwarrior Credits to buy some random stuff with (1000, 1500?)
- Maybe some premium time?

All the while, try and keep the package cheap - say $20/£15.

This strikes me as a necessary to get new players in and playing, and keeping the price low and the contents high makes it a surefire purchase for anybody whom already plays.

Note: the key point of this is to make loads of money, provide some sort of "base" game to purchase for newbies (refer to say the LOTRO or Tribes packs on Steam), and get people hooked with a great start.

Keep in mind, it needs to be different and not "as good" as the founder deals to not upset the existing player base. I'm sure somebody clever with maths can work out the co-efficient's between the deals and reduce them slightly.
