How is this not already implemented?

There are so many times I'd like to sit and chat with my teammates or opponents and talk about strategies used, send friend invites, build groups and whatnot, but being immediately locked out of chat mode after the match ends prevents a lot of socialization and community-building.

Totally agree on this one. Better sense of community if you can at least do a quick "gg" before signing off.

+1 Yes! I often wish the was a way to chat with players after a match and discuss the game.

i wanted to put a bump on this idea. Please Developers, look at this and implement. Chats after the game with friendlies would be awesome and build the Mechwarrior Online community. Think of how much money this would bring in.

I want the ability to call some one a liao humping ****** because they sat firing lrms into rocks instead of helping our team at the end.

i would like the chance to congratulate friendly or enemy pilots for fighting hard and being decent pilots.

there was a catapult pilot with 4 medium lasers and 2 lrm of some flavor, i rushed him with my srm cat expecting an easy kill. he faced me down and held me off for probably almost a minute with just his lasers. he even stripped some of my armor. i have never seen someone pilot a cat like that, that well. he deserved congratulations even though i killed him.

and to flaunt success at others who say ignorant things like nightvision is worthless, when i use it to get 4 kills and 900+ damage.
