Is there an off line map mode available for peeps who just want to train and test out there mechs?. yup yup I'm just a noob ...

Not yet but there will be something like this in the near future. They are working on it now.

Not yet, and the game does need one for those who've never piloted a mech before. I gather something is in the works at PGI involving a sandbox map with static targets etc.
