Hello fellow Mechwarriors?

I can play BF3 on all ultra with 60 FPS all the time (because I capped it on 60).

In MWO, I got (If I max everything out) min 21 FPS.

So. Should I get better hardware or is this game just poorly optimized?

Greetings and thanks
WolvesX

Perhaps you should add a 'yes' option?
Just a thought. ;)

The Devs are constantly making improvements to the game which should result in gradual performance increases as time goes on. They've stated that they are currently testing different CPUs so that the game is not as dependent on quad core setups. This should result in large gains for dual core users, who are experiencing the most problems at the moment.

Demanding and poorly optimized at this time.
They still have a lot of optimization to do, which is a constant work in process.

Of cos its poorly optimized... hell, its not even near optimized, they hadnt even gotten the engine update nor even DX11 sorted out... be patient, its beta.

BF3 only got a FPS boost in the latest update when they really optimized and finalized the codes. Before that I used to get only about 40FPS with BF3 as well.

I got a Q9550 ATI HD6850 8 GB RAM and the game installed on a RAID 0 HD system. IF its the HW, this is not going to be cheap.

It's probably a little bit of both. It's is on the Cryengine after all. That said, they do have work to do optimizing it.

The Dev's admit the game is terribly unoptimized at this point.

Protip: many are reporting better framerate on medium settings than the lowest.

hardware is not the problem. its just the programming, it needs to be fixed.
