Why are people still bade capturing, and not even as a distraction tactic. Half the games I have played groups move in force to base and sit. Why?

The trouble is that with pugs the best strat is the simplest: 8 man group huddled together and push towards enemy base.
You pick 1 route.
Chances are, the other side does the same thing. If they pick a different route then you get what you believe is a base cap rush.
If you happen to pick the same route, you get a glorious brawl.
I'm pretty sure people don't intentionally set out to just rush cap but if the two huddles miss each other, you might as well cap as a win will pay off more than a loss.
You almost have to call out (and agree) on WHERE to engage

Some teams do it to split up groups to overpower them and win the game through kills,I think its pretty crappy play though
