Use your arrow keys and right cntrl button to assign them to weapon groups.
Or, just press Alpha Strike, which I believe is the "\" key... Not sure, I changed mine to my middle mouse button.

ty for refreshing my memory on the alpa strike key. Maybe i have been away from Mechwarrior for too long
