All the Factions have so much info its IMPOSSIBLE for me to decide. So far i think I'm leaning towards House Marik. But no matter what i pick i will always be thinking "What if I picked (insert Faction Here)????"

Well, you can't go wrong with the Free Worlds' League. (House Marik) I mean, as things are 'Thomas Marik' is a pretty awesome dude nearing the awesomeness of Victor Steiner-Davion, but with the FWL you have Parlimant, and pretty much every world in the FWL gets to self govern, citizens have fairly decent rights in most worlds,

Plus we were the ones to originally have Solaris, and we have the Cicada and Awesome.

Not a bad choice by any means.

Why not just be by yourself? That's what I'm going to do. Perhaps I might join one later, but for now, I won't.

someone posted a wicked alignment poster up on the forum showing which House and their alignment... House Marik are Chaotic Neutral ... if that helps.

I usually dont go evil.. so i guess neutral or good would do.. but why would Marik be Chaotic?

They don't have a commonly acknowledged leader (at least 2 groups fighting each other), lots of civil wars and they are a democracy, so every single voting can go veeery wrong.

Its best to learn the game and meet people playing the game that you get along with and joining up with them . I have been around battletech games for awhile(1996) and have battled against and with every house (faction) there is , from mercs to clans to HK,ST and so on .They all have or had great members and offered about the same things . So if you never were in a clan,faction,house id play the game as a merc and join a faction if i planned to really get into this game and become apart of the faction role playing element that joining a house offers , from rank to leadering a lance in battle , to training newbies,to meeting for war plans and so on .

becoming part of a house like Marik has been one of the best things i have done playing a game , and the friends i have made over the years is awesome . they are like family < S >

Well i dont think the Graph is accurate... its fan made.. i think it might just be for laughs. but some of it makes sense.

ohh okay.. i just feel like there would be some system for switching factions though.. because without it wouldnt alot of people just go to the most popular faction and thus imbalance the game?
