Conquest is another mode of play. Or is it? I have some ideas to fix it.
Most of the games I have played, people go to ye ole team death match. The tactical possibilities are there, but with no xp or money bonus for getting a cap, preventing a cap, or recapturing, people would rater get the kills.
Example, on one map, I took 2 caps with team mates and recaptured 2 myself. I got a total of 235 xp while the people who got kills scored over 600
My practical suggestion? The rewards for a tactical win need to be much improved. A tactical victory should provide as much if not more than an elimination.
My pie in the sky suggestion? Shifting points. Make it so the points have to be held. In other words after a point is captured, if no unit is on the base the bar goes down at about half the rate as an enemy recap until it revert to neutral. This would add another tactical layer to the matches. Thus forcing confrontation on those points more frequently.
