While I was playing with my group yesterday, someone brought up that they were considering selling all of their mechs, and re-buying them just so they could re-organize the order in which their mechs were listed... We came to the conclusion it would be really nice to be able to move mechs around.
Furthermore, it would be cool if we could organize them into groups... Right now, we have the "Trial Mechs" and "Owned Mechs" Why not allow us to make custom groups in this area? Where we could have "Sniper Mechs" "Brawler Mechs" "Heavy Mechs" "Missle Mechs" Etc...
As this game gets older, our players are going to eventually have enough money to buy virtually every mech in the game. I know I plan to buy everything at some point. It would be very handy to have this organizational feature.

I second this suggestion wholeheartedly! I SOLD an Awesome because it was not in order (my mechs go from light to heavy in the bays and the Awesome was near a Commando). I would love to move my mechs around. And would absolutely use custom groups (Snipers, Bruisers, Electronic Warfare, etc). At the very least, the ability to organize my owned mechs would be huge. I plan on owning them all.

Yes I dont need anything fancy just the ability to move each mech over left or right. I only have 23 Mechs but still it kills me that they arnt in any kind of order. Im tired of clicking the left and right Mech bay arrows 500 times a day! It would even be ok if each chassis type were grouped together but do something please!

While I agree that being able to reorganize would be nice...
There is another 'workaround' for the time being: you can use the scroll wheel in the mechbay. I use it all the time. I have no idea when they added that feature, but I LOVE it.
