Some general ideas:

1) ECM, I for one feel it's just about perfect. Yes it's game changing, but missile boat online gets a bit boring. However, right now there is no negative to carrying one. I suggest a simple change, it prevents all missile locks (enemy and friendly) when in 'disrupt' mode. Thus those "streak Commando/Ravens' have to make them selves vulnerable (turn ECM to counter-mode) if they want to use streaks/call LRM's down on somebody while circling them. A small change, but adds a negative into ECM.

2) Allow us to configure weapons groups outside the game (in the lab would be great).

3) Allow 'chain fire' to be setup with sub-groups. i.e. if you have 4 medium lasers in group one, let us set them up to fire in two groups of 2, then you could swap between alpha or 2 and 2.

4) Everyone would like more maps here's some possible ideas:

Moon (craters and peaks)
Cavern (stalactites and stalagmites, maybe even springs, imaging having various tunnels to get to the center)
Mountain Pass (Bolders, peaks, etc)
Fortress (Destroyed walls, partial cover)
Heavy Forest (perhaps with a deadzone)
Destroyed forest (with trenches you can move/fight in)
Chokepoint (could be destroyed city)
Starport (fighting amongst hangers (maybe even inside one), planes and dropships
and MORE CITIES !!!!!

And yes, structures should be destructable/burnable (imagine burning down a forrest w/mechs in it and having them heat up).

5) As it stands right now, standing in trees offers no advantages. I'd suggest a 15% miss chance against anyone in light trees and 20% in heavy trees for any weapon outside 200m. This represents the chance your shot would hit a branch/trunk and be deflected.

I started playing Battletech w/Crescent Hawk's Inception, and have always loved it. Thank you so much for bringing back Mechwarrior to us. :)

i think some low gravity maps would add to the sense of scale in this game.

i don't know how hard it would be to do but living legends had an asteroid map that cycled between extreme heat and cold as it tumbled around in orbit. make the shadows highly valuable territory!

Some other ideas:

1) Inferno rounds - because mechs on fire would look so cool

2) The 'circle fight' really isn't battletech, since running and turning = piloting skill roll, and eventually falling and falling/sliding damage. When collisions come back, please put this in the game, a chance to fall if running (say greater than 80% speed ) and turning at the same time. That should help 'slow down' the game.

3) Instead of a chance to miss in forrest/heavy forrest, just make it reduced damage while in forrest/heavy forrest.

4) Mag vision

5) Different storm effects (ion storms, dust storms, heavy thunderstorms (w/complete darkness and super bright lightning)

6) I love that bobbleheads shake when I walk, how about making them shake when another mech walks by, of when I turn from side to side?

7) Splash damage from engine explosions.

8) While I love the tumbling mech deaths, how about the ability to stomp on their dead "bodies" (and hear them being crushed) and an escape shoot blasting out of them when they die?

9) When collisions come back, how about a mech having a chance to fall when hit by 20 or more points of damage at one time, or a chance to fall when it gets legged?

10) And this one's dreaming since no MW game has done it before, but the ability of a mech to walk through buildings (creating his own alley) especially for mechs over 50 tons. The mech would oc take damage doing this, but would look very, very cool (visions of Kerensky's Orion bashing open Amaris's palace doors dance in my head).
