The way MWO uses up the premium time is rather aggravating to me. In my opinion your time should only tick off when you're actually playing the game, not when your off line. It seems rather greed driven to have it working the way it currently does.

I know most games work this way, and I've even avoided some games based on the way they handle your subscription. I would love to play around with iRacing, but to pay that much money for a subscription and maybe get a few hours a week to play it seems rather dumb to me. So I haven't joined it. If more on-line game makers would only count time against when you actually log in, I might play more than one or two games at a time (meaning, this and Age of Empires is pretty much all I play now). I have a family, work, business to look after and playing games takes a back seat, so it's rather aggravating when I play a few hours a day, yet see the time ticking off more then I play.

Basically if you play 4 hours, you should only use up 4 hours of premium time, which is how I hoped MWO was going to do it. Not I played 4 hours one day and wow I used up 24 hours in a day. Rip off in my eyes, I'm glad I didn't spent $120 on this game, but even at $60 it's been borderline on disappointing at times. Premium time usage, nerfing to please one group of players, the constant Afk'ers, disconnects, client issues, no Warhammer, etc. I'm not one of those who will ask for my money back, but I'm still waiting for MWO to impress me. Changing how our time ticks off would be a start in the right direction. I've paid my $60 to have a founders mech (which isn't that big a deal), tag and premium time, only to watch my time tick off more then I'm on. MWO will get no more money out of me until the Warhammer is out, the game gets WAY better then it is now, or I get a gift card to waste.

So in the end my suggestion is this: You only use premium time when you are logged into the game.

Premium time is basically a subscription. Virtually no games that runs any type of subscription plan only take time when you play. If it was such a way, you'd be paying a lot more for your premium. I personally still have not started mine since I'm waiting till I have more time to play.

Have more time to play, for me that will only get worse as the kids grow up and things with our business get more hectic, so I started my time now. As for the time, I don't like it the way it is now, its and industry standard I know, but I think it would be better for the consumer to have it like minutes on a cell phone (which is also going away).
