More then the Cataphact, I love the Waco Rangers Love your giving use here! I love the Dragoon with the X through it in the arm. Id like to think I had something to do with this :-D. I know I did not but still love it :-)

However, if I would've prefer the Grasshopper for the "Jumping Heavy Brawler" niche.

Wow. I did not see this coming. Whoa. My original mech of choice was going to either be the Dragon or Centurion, looks like it's going to be a Cataphract now.

At the risk of making myself look like a fool, it looks like either a CTF-1X, or a CTF-3L. PPC and some kind of medium laser on the left arm, AC of some kind on the left torso, medium lasers to the left and right of the cockpit, medium laser on the right arm. It's kind of interesting that it's the PPC that's slung under the laser, rather than the other way around.

CTF-1X looks like the variant of choice for me. Mostly energy-weapon based, standard engine and 11 tons of armor maximize survivability. No JJ is kind of a bummer, but you can't get everything.

Edit: Confirmed by Alex as the CTF-1X. Awesome.... Cataphract.

yeah the art is the -1X, but the fluff writing that came with it is pretty clearly the "standard" -3D. Guess pilots will have to work up to that one.
