Well I guess you know more than the rest of us then. I would have thought they'd need to write the patch first before shipping it, but I guess they have it already finished and will not be working until the day the patch is realeased hence your assertion they will have had a month off?

Hopefully a net code fix as they said they were testing something for january, but I wont hold my breath,

Dev and staff presence has been pretty much minimal to absent on the ofrums since the last patch, coupled with no patches since then?

Yes, it looks like they took a good 3 week to month long vacation.

Im not sure but wasnt garth taking extended time off? I think I heard something about it in the No Guts No Galaxy podcast, I might be wrong tho. If so may explain the quietness around here.

That is true... Where i live people can actually take 5 weeks of vacation.

But most take that in the summer due to weather and all that.

I think what people really meant to say is its been quite since the end of the week since the last patch. a/k/a almost a week, 1 week which includes Christmas and New Years... so not anywhere near a month at all. I doubt it will be active this week, with some return to a normal schedule next week. Which would be two weeks not a month. Which by the way for my company would only be taking off for 6 days since 4 of those are Holiday days.

Even game devs could use some holidays, especially those developing MMO.
After they have a short break from work, who knows what they can come up with, some fresh ideas perhaps?

Not to mention, crew working under the crunch..is not working 100%

I would have felt a lot better about their extended break if we weren't on the 1-step back part of the 3-step cycle.

The other thing that is possibly aggravating people is that if you also had two weeks off, you just played the heck out of the game for two weeks, so it feels like a lot longer.

Glad PGI is taking some time off. Hopefully they'll come back and most of the unsovable problems will fall in shards from the new, fresh perspectives.
