Most people seem to be droping in paired 8mans as it is more fun to not deal with people like you, who run cheese builds.

"Wah wah my 8man full of camping lrm boats/ECM lagmechs/DDC atlases got rolled they must be cheating/using cheese builds so let's all go back to rolling disorganized pugs instead"

Sounds like excuses for not wanting to face actual competition to me.

"must be using cheese builds" MUST BE.... Cheese build is cheese build.

Frankly its more fun to go againts people i know, such as other merc corps that organize synced 8man drops.

Think of yourself as the **** that was in school that no one ever wanted to play with while all the other school kids were off having fun together.

8manz queue =/= sync dropping.

And we did lots of 8manz during Christmas, just apparently not one was on at all during New Years.

Excuse my hangover, I meant regular dropping.

Same thing.

Except we don't sync drop 4 mans,

4 KaoS in a Pug match is enough.

If he who can't be named for reasons of Com Star moderation and instant feed disruption (See:Thread Closed/Banned) was able to actually post, that individual would have posted a name/shame screen shot of some team getting beat in 8 mans by a KaoS 2-2-2-2 drop deck.

Just keeping it off topic in an off topic thread.

We were dropping all last night, had either fought the same 2-3 teams or had failed to find a match. Le sigh. Its going to be funner with Phase 3, where you'll probably only play the same team over and over as its the only team it'll match you up against. Variety sucks..right?

Frankly the 8 man random drop We have run - suck:
Large amounts of smack talk before the match
No Class/Weight Balancing
Hackers seem more prevalent

8 man Organized Timed drops against other LW's or Units we know:
Awesome - great fun
Great for training new pilots
Balanced Matches

We 8 man drop every night and have only 2 or 3 failed to find matches. We played about 12 drops last night and had only 1 or 2 failed but found one on very next try. Do not think we ever came across KONG never heard of them though either but we see Kaos every so often and Sky rangers a few times. Also saw WM twice the last couple days.

Yeah a weapon with a max effective range of 200 meters that you have to aim and you only get 2 shots before you overheat sure is cheesy.

Granted Catapults are inherantrly cheesy because they're completely overpowered compared to what they should be. but the srm6 cat is one of the less cheesy builds you can make out of one that's still useful.

You're just mad because you want to play tacticool lrm orbital strike simulator and can't handle actually brawling with people who have the hand eye coordination to land more than 30% of their shots.

I wish we had a handful of more people dropping with kong, we always seem to have 6 people up for it. Oh well, I also wish for a 8 man drop leader board
