Mechs have hand actuators to keep every mech from carrying an AC/20 in their arm. It's a game balance thing.

In the grand scheme of things, PGI has to fix a lot of other things before they had complications from melee attacks.

I want to be able to rip a light pole out of the ground with my hands and swat light mechs with it.
